Whoa! She's putting all of her heart into it. I don't think I've ever watched this sport, what exactly is she doing? Does she spin around to gain momentum then throw it? All I know is that I wouldn't want to be in the direction of her throw!

Yes, BUT, she was throwing that thing as far as the guys! It weighys a little over 50 lbs! I won't say what doing that would do to me!!!
It is called a "Hammer Toss" I believe, and yes, the contestant spins around to gain mementum before releasing.
