Spider spider (part deux)
Posted By: Damn Brit, 05-24-2008, 09:29 PM

Last week you may remember me doing a post about my Wife asking me to get a Spider and I got it with my camera instead of a jar.
Well, shows what a bit of training can do last night she went in the bathroom and shouted "There's a cool spider in here, get your camera".
He was really small, anyone know what kind he is?
Gary

Probably ticked you didn't give it time to shave its legs before you took the picture. (it was in the bathroom - it wasn't going after the shaving cream was it?)

LOL.
Nice detail on such a tiny critter.

Just found out it's a Lynx Spider. It's called that because it attacks it's prey by jumping like a cat.

Hey Gary... that is a cool looking spider. I am not much help on the name, but I dont think I have seen one around here before. I got a shot of one of those jumping spiders with punkrock spikey hair the other day but the flash made it too fake looking...

These are nice ones.

Ahh and the spikes help him to secure the prey, I bet. Man it's a cruel world down in the macro range, kinda like up here, just in different ways.
