Look, if you didn't cut something off, we'd all be jealous of the image. I'd be happy just to have the chance to photograph an owl or two.

Thanks for the comment !
I have some more in my Flickr account (signature) if that is of interest.

Are you in an area where they could be ?

Greater Toronto area, so there may be some here and there, but the odds on me being in a spot like that, with a camera in hand, and time to focus it are slim. I'll try to look at your album.

Excellent photo.

A buddy and I were in an area of our prairie province, where Snowy's hang out. Came across five, last Thursday. Mostly atop hydro poles...down back country roads on the vast prairie landscape.

Unfortunately, as soon as we approached, it was Hi Ho Silver and off they flew.

Seeing them and getting a good picture are two different things, as you know when it comes to getting close enough, fast enough...to get a good pix. You seem to have the hang of it, rather well.

We did see a couple on the hunt....fast, low, far away and then..bang...onto the prey.

Wonderful image, thanks for showing us. I have photographed many birds but never got an owl.

Super shot. Those eyes really pop and who noticed the cut-off wing.

Well just go back and do it again... what a fabulous image (shame about the wing).

Think I'd be tempted to clone the other wing tips over to complete whats missing.

Wing shming. It is really the background that is so disappointing. I don't understand why he hasn't dropped in a Hawaiian setting or some other tropical scene.
