Show me your Fisheye shots!
Posted By: Photochop, 02-01-2007, 01:59 PM

Alright, I'm on the edge of buying a fisheye lens, ideally I would like the Pentax fisheye but it's just too expensive for me right now. I'm looking at the Zenitar FE and it looks like I'd have some real fun with it. So who's gonna help me jump?

Let's see your FE shots! Please

Yeah, Alvin, this pictures were taken at the Civic Center here in Lake Jackson - about 40 miles south of Houston.

Galveston seawall (4 IMG)

Here's the fun shot...

These 3 need to be combined into a panoramic, though I didn't really shoot them with that in mind, so I doubt I really can....

The Pentax SMC-DA 10-17mm fisheye zoom. It's a fun lens.

So, will you be at the Masters this year, or will you be leaving town during that time? I used to go every year, but the tickets finally dried up.

Even more photos! Awesome. Russ, that's a very interesting shot. How high up were you from the beach? Couple feet?

BTW, I went ahead and purchased the Zenitar about a week ago. *grin* I don't know how long it will take to get here from Russia but I'm hoping it will be here soon! Until then, I have the M50 1:2 to keep me entertained.

Wow - I gotta go and take some more fisheye shots. Can't seem to take my M50/1.7 off for some weird reason though (both my fish and the 50 are so fun!).

Galveston has a seawall that stands 17 feet tall, though the sand blown up against it makes it a little less than that. The art on the wall can be seen a bit in the shot as well.
