Nice images but just a little too much flare for my liking.

Wow, thats is one of the reasons to do photography. Great vision and well executed. The lens does well, gotta have that 10-17 some day. Handles the flare pleasingly, IMO. Tell us more about the scene.

Looked through your uploaded photos, outstading work.

actually, none of that is flare, it is surprisingly well controlled for what you would expect. It's sunrays lighting up a combination of cold air/diesel exhaust coming out of the entrance to the Hoosac Tunnel's eastern portal. (The train had gone past a bit before I got there)

Sorry, misuse of words, I just meant the actual light was just a bit too much for my liking.

That first shot is mighty impressive. The slightly sloped horizon give the impression of walking toward it.

The second has a little too much distortion on the left side for me.

Dan,

These are really interesting images. I especially like images 1 and 2. I think the first image would be enhanced if the image was rotated clockwise to vertical... but then again...

Love the perspective in the second shot. Almost looks like an engine's light bearing down on you.

Dan, excellent management of really difficult lighting situation. I think that the B&W conversion in the second is simply stunning. Wonderful job! And I really enjoy the composition of all three, but especially the first.

These images are amazing ... it's definitely worthy of framing that's for sure.

I am impressed with these ... you could make a lot of money of them if you wanted as well.
