I dig it - the shot really brings out the immensity of places like this. Makes a mere human feel kind of puny.

Looks to be quite a storm brewing. I agree with Jer in that it does put humans in perspective. Just a spot on the landscape.

Thank you for the comments, I really had no time to get the best position for the shot, just moved enough to get infrastructure out of the way. If I could've gotten to the more elevated ground not far away, it could have been spectacular.

No, we are all the way across Australia from that, but thanks for the kind thoughts. We get our own fires here, of course, this time of year, but, due to the unpopulated nature of the country, they just burn until rain or cool weather puts them out.
