Landscape Around the River Bend

Took this wiiiiiiide shot of a bend in the Smith River near Crescent City, Ca. This was the -3EV shot from a 3-shot bracket. I was able to keep the detail in the clouds while pulling details out of the shadows in the trees.

It still amazes me how much data there is to find in the shadows with this camera. The 0 and +3EV shots from the bracket both blew out the clouds, but this "underexposed" shot turned out to be the best of the series.

Really cool shot. Color of the water is amazing. Great detail in the sky! Wish the road wasn't there but that's not a criticism
