Firetruck, Puppy, Fence and Flowers
Posted By: little laker, 05-26-2008, 07:37 PM

I got a photo for almost everyone the last few days.

This OLD firetruck was washing cars on Saturday at Costco

I thought that this puppy was really cute.

I imagine that the women will like these flowers

And Personally I like the artistic look I got with this fence

Some people may remember that I posted another photo of it a couple of months ago, without any vegetation growing.

very nice..

It looks like you had a good weekend Stu..

I like #1 ... now that is a SWEET way to wash your car... and the puppy is very cute...

I really like the flowers... you have captured them brillantly as always.. but what kind of flower is it.. it is very pretty with all those buds on it..

When I saw that last pic... I was thinking that, that fence looked pretty familiar.. the foliage around it does make it look much prettier..

Thanks for sharin.. talk to you soon, Kim

Fire engine, flowers and a pup. Trying to be popular with the kids and ladies.
Nice photos and I agree that the fence shot looks great.

Cheers

You seem to be developing a thing for fire engines Stu
I like the Rhododendron shots. Up there yours are just starting to bloom, down here ours have finished blooming.

Thanks Kim,
There's a good chance that I'll be photographing the fence again tomorrow (really today, but I haven't hit the bed yet)
Sorry, I don't know what type of flowers they are. Gary may have answered it already though

I never thought of the hair style until you mentioned it

Thanks Eddie,

Me trying to be popular with the kids and ladies.
Not at all, just the ladies. I'm a big kid at heart, so the other photographs are for me to enjoy

Thanks Gary, and thanks for telling us what the flowers are
I have some just outside my door I'll have to try photographing on Wednesday.

My stepfather was a firefighter, so I wonder if that has anything to do with my thing about them
What am I saying, I just like photographing anything I think is cool

Thanks Diane,
I didn't dare let them wash my car. It may have fallen apart
What can I say, it's paid for and it gets great mileage

Thanks,
The fence and flowers were actually in a local park. And I think 1/2 the people whom see me with camera gear think I'm nuts

Thanks James,
I really should head up a hill and take a photo of the town. Preferably after dark.
It is a nice place to live, although it does have the same problems as the rest of the world.
I wouldn't want to live right downtown.

Thanks Pat,
There's at least one in camera method to get the background appear dark, and the subject to appear well lighted during the brightest day.
Which is what I did.
I see that Kim (mntbearhug) is using this method with some of her macro's as well
I'll PM you method.

Thanks Mate,
I gave the owner my card and told her I'd e-mail her a copy f it.
And she hasn't taken me up on the offer
I think that she's missing 3 great shots (yes I got 3 of the little guy, and it was tough to choose which one made it here)

Sorry about that mfc
I'll tell you how I do the lighting for some shots sometime in the future as well.

It really only took a day freezing my butt off during the winter with a macro lens trying this and that to learn the technique
