help me ... I'm melting ...
Lens: reversed 50mm Nikkor enlarging len with 3 ext. tubes Camera: Pentax K5 Photo Location: Buffalo, NY ISO: 1600 Shutter Speed: 1/60s Aperture: F8

Looked like a perfect day to try some snowflake pics. Nice gentle snowfall, no wind ... but the temperature was hovering around freezing at 32*F.
I saw that the flakes were somewhat "icy" looking and would melt quickly after making contact on an old fleece jacket that I leave in the garage for this purpose. So, I ended up with a different look than I anticipated but still got a chance to work on my technique.

All the shots are handheld, no flash, and taken with a 50mm reverse mounted Nikkor enlarging lens on three extension tubes. PP using ACR, and Topaz Detail.

Right at the melting point - frankly, I think this state makes the melting flakes particularly interesting and visually compelling. Great job!!

Nice ones. Still lots of detail left in the flakes.
