PEI Fox hunt.
Posted By: Peter Zack, 05-27-2008, 11:19 AM

Just a few shots from the weekend (some already posted in the POTW) of this weekends shooting. I sent the K10D in for AF service and using the *istD till it returns. Still a great camera.

Coming out of the Den I found this Pup.

He took off quickly to go find Mom.

We stopped by a local farm that raises some very $$$ thoroughbreds. Got this one just as the sun was setting.

Finally a typical beach and cliff shot on Prince Edward Island.

Cute little fox. Wish I had one. Too bad they stink!

My favourite shot, though, is the one of the horse. The "pose" and lighting are juuust right.

Nice work. Looks like your fox hunt was quite successful. Beautiful place, PEI, I hope to get there someday.
Thanks for sharing.

Peter, great shots as always. The fox pup is a wonderful capture! A wall hanger for sure! And the sea and cliff one could be on a calendar. You live in a very beautiful place. Thank you for sharing these.

NaCl(but then again there are very few sea shots I don't like )H2O

ftpaddict, XS400 and Salty, Thanks for the comments. I do like it around it here even if it is a little on the quite side sometimes compared to Halifax (my old home town).

I was pretty pleased with the Fox shot (didn't know they stunk) and they don't sit around waiting for you to shoot either. The horse was a bit easier to get right.

Great day overall and I took about 110 shots which is a lot for me since I seem to always shoot like it's film.

Thanks for posting Peter. I haven't seen a fox for years (since I moved from England). I miss seeing rabbits by the road as well.

Foxes have a very "distinct" smell - a byproduct of their marking their territory. That's why they don't make very good pets.

The fox shots are nice. I see them quite often around the house and at work also but I have never been able to get a decent picture. Very nice.
