These ones were taken 4.5.2013, with my K-x and tamron 70-300mm zoom/macro. Not good lens, but we had some fun moments...

This nocturnal frog was taken on a trip to Belize a few years ago.

Rana arvalis - now there is a mating season which means one can see them being blue instead of green. My daughters really enjoyed this! Shot with SMC Pentax-M 100/4 at 5.6?.

Caught this one hopping through my living room. Caught it in a bowl and dumped it in the rain barrel. Poor thing couldn't get out so I helped it onto the ledge. Too exhausted to flee, so I got a shot of it.

It looks young and it's difficult to tell but it could be a toad, in which case it wouldn't be very happy in a rain barrel because they don't swim very well.

Sorry little toady, (it was about an inch big). It better not go to the neighbours garden. Their dog is a great fan of dissecting toads.

Sounds like one of our previous Shelties. Squirrels brought out the scientist in her. She wanted to open one to see what made it go.

Saved one

This one was saved from our dog pen. When I moved her to the forest, she just wanted to be photographed...

The frog was in a dark, shaded spot so I opted to use flash and ended up getting the evil eye.

Love this thread, Mark.

Not a macro - taken with 55-300, in Sth Gippsland. From the books I'd guess Litoria ewingii (Southern Brown Tree Frog), but please correct me if I'm wrong.
