My 3 beloved Roosters

Levels, Litlle Crop, 80mm on 18-55 lens

They are very photogenic. You can see that they are characters. I think you should post some more shots of them.

In this shot the nearest one is sharp, the middle not so sharp, and the third out of the focal plane.

Personally I would prefer to see either (1) one in sharp focus and the other two quite blurry, or (2) all three in sharp focus.

The first option would require either a longer focal length (80mm can't be right on a 18-55 lens!) or a faster lens (e.g. Pentax-A 50 f1.7 or DA 50 f1.8).

Option 2 (all three in sharp focus) would need a narrower aperture (maybe f8 or f11), probably focusing on the middle bird. You might have got away with that with a higher ISO (up to 6400) and slower shutter (e.g. 1/60th second), with some PP noise reduction; otherwise you would need to use a flash.
