Orb Weaver Spider

There is a serious lack of insects to photograph during the day , where have all the hover flies gone ?
Perhaps eaten by the spiders ? Anyway , with so many spiders out at night , here is another from my favourite Model .

I've not done much with spiders in the dark but they were numerous this past summer. The attempts I made were not good. Very nice!

What kind of flash set up did you use? Looks like the flash was off to the left of the frame, so not a ring flash. Manual or auto?

My K50 Rig ...
Its not the flash , but rather the color of the spider .. Its golden brown with splotches of white ..
The golden brown part of the spider is almost spot on whilst the white reflects far more light and looks a little hot .. ( Such is life )
