Lunch Time walk with Pentax A28mm f2.8

Some flowers along the way. This photo outlines the harsh bokeh of this lens. Although it is very sharp it does what most wider angle lenses do.

Some budding flowers

All in all a nice sharp lens with a $5.00 price tag. It's fun to wander around with and if I wanted better bokeh I'd use a tele lens or macro lens.

How the heck did you get this lens for $5.00?!? I'm pretty sure I paid over $100.00 for mine. It's in mint condition, but they are going for around that on e-bay. Unless this is a different lens?

Just rifleing through your shots and the bokeh looks fairly subdued in no. 2. What were your apertures in the three shots?

I'm gonna guess, though I have no real basis for these numbers:
#1 - f/8
#2 - f/3.5
#3 - f/5.6

Those are my WAGs, how did I do?

Yes that's right, $5.00Aus in Cash Convertors. Check them out as they have no idea what the prices should be and you might get lucky. They were all taken at f3.5 in manual mode. I was just having fun mucking around.

Can't complain for $5 ... if you can get half decent images from it .. it's all the more worth it.

Nice shots! Good value lens, too.

Is that a cannon or a gun? I didn't think cannons had rifling in the bore?

I like the canon shot - the narrow DOF and composition make it look like it is a round thing floating mid-air. Cool effect.
