Pole Aerial shots

After my exploratory thread where I wanted to buy a boom truck, I scaled back and made a mount to go on an extendable painter's pole, available at any hardware store.

Now that's some heavy-duty DIY! With a bit of practice and enough SD cards, you could do some awesome shots of gatherings or public events.

The thoughts of seeing a camera on a pole is a bit unnerving.

Try using a fisheye next time.

With the Pentax remote assistant software, a laptop, and a USB extension cable, you could get some interesting use from your pole idea. You just have to love DIY projects.

for version 2 you could add the ability to tilt!

That would be sweet! I'd love to see a shot of the whole rig set up (from another camera, of course!)
