Twilight Pilbara panorama

11 shot panorama of our mining camp 2 days ago. Shot in RAW, PP in LR. Exported as TIF to PTGui for the stitching, reimported for cropping and final touch up. Spreads well across two big monitors as a desktop. Quite happy with this one, or have I overdone the PP?

Shows the vastness that is that neck of the woods. The colours capture the starkness, but beauty, beautifully.

I like this one a lot but unless there were 10,000 LV's on the other side of the ridge line you might need to cool off the white glow on the horizon a little bit (not too much though.) Hope you kept an eye on the dingoes while you were setting this up.

Nah, no dingoes around our camp :-) More worried about death adders , King Browns, and scorpions, being in the spinifex on dark .Not to mention that I was hospitalised up here this time last year after being bitten by something while retrieving the Gopro at the end of a timelapse after the sun set. Didn't feel it, but the reaction was quick and savage. Don't wish to go through that again. The things we suffer for our art. :-) :-)

The glow on the horizon over every ridge--I honestly don't know how that happens. Obviously something in PP, Shadow reduction, perhaps? Certainly highlights the contours, and actually looks quite good when shown at a larger size, like spread across two 23" monitors. Image is actually very sharp at those sizes, this resolution doesn't do it justice.

A well done pano. K-x strong!

Amazing that the heat up there hasn't melted all your gear.

Very impressive. For some reason, I don't normally dig panos all that much, but I really like this one. BTW, I think the glow on the horizon is cool - whatever its origins.

The PP won't create it from nothing, so it must have been there. It might have been the fading light beyond the ridge illuminating some moisture haze in the air (Earth's curavture at work.) It's interesting to see what a slightly longer exposure can reveal sometimes.
