Well, I just retuned from a few weeks holiday at my country house... here are a few of the bird pics I took. Most were taken with my new DA 55-300

Canada Goose - DA 50-200

Blue Jay - DA 50-200

Little birdy at one of my feeders - DA 55-300

Bird on a branch - DA 55-300

Birds eating my grass seeds!!! - DA 55-300

My feeder again - DA 55-300

A quick shot as I was fishing on the dock! - DA 55-300

Hummingbird at my feeder - DA 55-300

Awesome. Looks like that new lens is working out just fine. IQ seems at least as good as the Tamron if not a touch better and without the purple fringing.

Thanks! Yes, I have to admit it's a great new lens. I am having to relearn to stabilize myself for pics though cause at 300mm almost any camera shake ruins the pic.
