Doomed & Gloomed
ISO: 50
Posted By: Kerrowdown, 01-27-2015, 09:49 AM

A dark day in Scotland, just like many others.

A day for running wide open, this time with my “Sweetheart” (SMC Pentax-A* 85mm F1.4).

Hey, I don't shoot Pentax anymore! just use some old glass that fits on my shiny new (sorta) body. At least, that's what the logo underneath the back screen tells me.

That's what happens when you upgrade to this new fangled technology.

Yeah, I know. At least I have an LX with a half-used roll of HP5 within arm's reach. Whenever I get grumpy about technology, it makes me feel better.

Aye mines even got the working journo dent... where the bullet ricochet in the top housing of the action finder.

Not quite as bad as Don McCullin's Nikon and it's argument with an AK47 though...

Oh wow. Yeah, can't claim that mine's been shot at, but it has hiked the John Muir trail (actually, the 50 on it has done it twice), and traveled across the atlantic at least a dozen times. I think it might be starting to show :P

My most worn camera is my '52 Leica 11f. The leather cover has dried up pretty well and is starting to peel away....just a tiny bit. There's a small dent on the top.

I've had it for 34 years....still works well, though. Not nearly as worn as McCullin's Nikon or ZoeB's LX....yet. Kerrowdown that's a beautiful combo you have....LX and 50mm F 1.2.

That's what the duct tape on mine is, the leather covering is peeling off, and glue just doesn't do the trick.
