Cringeworthy, but good photos Clackers. How did you do the fireworks shot? It's superb.

I was hoping Australia Day wouldn't overdo the patriotism thing, Des - it could have devolved into Be A Racist Fool Day, but everyone was relaxed and this was all tongue-in-cheek.

I set up a tripod in completely the wrong spot for the fireworks and had to suddenly deploy the K-S1 handheld in the middle of a crowd one hundred metres away - you can see the lamp posts.

The settings were f13, ISO 1600, 1/5s with the Sigma zoom at 19mm.

We're spoiled on Pentax with builtin SR.


The Canikon versions of the lens aren't stabilised.

Fire work shot is definitely a winner.

Dockland would have been so windy as usual. Da* 50-135 is a hunting lens despite nice warm bokeh it is capable of producing. Looks like a good day out
