Another bout of raging insomnia, so I didn't want the time to go to waste!

Nice image. The more I look at it, the more I see in it. Can't pick the sword style though.

Thanks, PJ. I'm smiling as I type this. The "sword," is actually an old WWI bayonet blade I bought at a yard sale. I bent it, ground a shape and edge on it and fashioned the hand guard from a piece of brass I had on hand. Then I added a black walnut handle.... and voila! I grabbed some photo prop items I had around the house and added them to the scene until I almost had it too cluttered.

I thought it may have been "home grown" because of the grind. But I didn't want to suggest you were the swordsmith in case it was a rare antique Nice job anyway!

It was a very crude attempt, but it serves as an occasional photo prop if the fine details of the "sword" aren't shown!

My eye keeps being drawn to the candle , and the shaving mirror ( ? ) which is providing back light ( soft ) to the vase ..
It really provides a new aspect to light and dark , ok Im not describing that correctly ( ? ) .. But it certainly enhances whats going on in the picture .
You do have some mad skills for composition ...
