Magic Dragon
Posted By: Techiechick, 05-29-2008, 06:30 PM

I hope I'm not boring everyone with this effect, but I am having so much fun with it. This is an image I took on a merry-go-round at Silver Springs, Ocala, FL. I used photoshop and layers to apply 2 of the different fractailus filters. I painted the eye back in to reveal the original eye from the bottom layer.

Personally I'm usually not real crazy about this effect because I think it tends to look overdone, but for me, it really works with this image. It's the bright reflections and lights that give it the "magic" feeling. I can totally see this moderately large, matted and framed and on the wall of a child's room decorated with a castle theme. This is very cool.

looks like fun!!

Diane,

I love this... I will have to try this technique myself.. You have made this look like a wonderfully colorful masterpiece... The color is nice and bright and bold... and I agree with Mel would look great on a wall or someplace with a castle theme..

Thanks for sharin.. Kim

Thank you for looking and commenting Mel. You saw the exact look I was going for. I usually like to stay on the subtle side with this filter, but this one just pulled me in to be a little more extreme. Thank you again for your comment and support.
