Today at the feeder, through the window and by the time I'd put the 1.4 TC on he'd gone,
K-3, DA*60-250 and my kitchen window. ƒ4, 400 ISO.

No doubt attracted by the same mice that brought us the Northern Shrike. I didn't see a single squirrel while he was sitting up there.

If you see any mice or squirrels down there, let me know eh? (He says "eh" because he's a Canadian owl.)






And one with the 1.4 TC, right after this image, he swooped down, pulled a mouse out of the snow and took off.


I've put on the A-400 for a few more images.... he' still there, but it's too dark to shoot.

Thanks Paul. We've heard this guy for years, seen his pellets on our trails, this was the first time we've actually seen him. SO while I hope we see him more, but.. you take what you get.
