C-C-C-cold!
Lens: DA* 55 Camera: K-7 Photo Location: central New York ISO: 50

It's been brutally cold around here lately. I took a little drive yesterday for a few quick shots. The car said it was -9, but when you stepped out into the wind it felt like about -781 (the news said there was -41 windchill). I keep reading about the storms in Boston etc. Around here we have a special name for that kind of snowfall. We call it... "February!"

Great shots - captures the coldness of the day quite well (and we are suffering through it too, with no relief for a few more days)

Really like the barn one, but they are all very nice. It was worth it apparently!

btw, are these heavily cropped images or panoramas stitched together from multiple images. I'm guessing the first, in which case extra credit for seeing these shots when half the frame may have been distracting grey sky

Actually, these are composites. The top one is three shots stitched together, and the other two are two shots each. I agree with what you're saying about how the sky can be distracting sometimes, but I'm still saving for my DA* 16-50.

Thank you all for your kind comments.

I'm impressed. I've never tried to stitch shots together.

I love the teepee shot. I slept out in a teepee like that once in weather like that in minus 20 C. The rule was, if you wake up to pee, put wood on the fire. It was surprisingly warm, especially when the fire was cranked up. Thanks for the image, it brings back great memories.

The last one has definite gallery potential, IMHO. Would love to see it larger.
