Ontario-Canada, Family Day Weekend 2015
Lens: DA 18-135 Camera: K-3 Photo Location: Whitney, Ontario, Canada ISO: 100

We had a house full of people, 10 including us, in a not very big house, for family day weekend. So of course we spent as much time as our bodies could handle out in the 25 below weather.

Day one, the 5km morning dog walk, still waiting for people to arrive.

Day two...
Into Algonquin Park and Little McCauley Lake.... cold, but invigorating, and lots of snow angels...

Day three Longairy Lake and ice fishing huts....

Day 4, a few stragglers come on the morning walk, and then head for home.

The slideshow.....

Me, getting ready to go.... thanks for the picture Tessfully.

Looks like your family day was good.....and cold.

Happy family day. Looks like everybody in your family had a great winter outing, followed by a hot beverage...I'm betting.

I think these provincial days in February are a good thing in the national battle against cabin fever.

Right now in Winterpeg it's -30 C. But, We'll be going out later around noon when the temp, hits a high... predicted to be -22. I plan to have my K10D and 21mm with me.

For sure, checking the hourly to find the warmest part of the day is important. It was -32 at night... and one of the guys slept in the cabin. He had to get up a couple times to stoke the fire at night and had a heating pad in his sleeping bag, but he seems to have survived nicely.

Beautiful country, tough people to get out in that stuff and it's so nice to see Tess again. We miss her photography.

She refuses to take any new pictures until she's done looking at the thousands she hasn't touched, that she took last year.

I have to leave the house, apparently I'm a big distraction.
