Mallard duck and a hare
Lens: Sigma 150-500 F5-6.3 APO DG OS Camera: Pentax K-5 Photo Location: Uppsala ISO: 2500 Shutter Speed: 1/200s Aperture: F8

Yesterday I received the Sigma 150-500 so today, after school, I just had to go out and try it out.

It was certainly not the best conditions for photographing birds because it was cloudy and at the moment, there really isn't that many birds around (in a month or so it probably will be better) where I live.

The first impressions of this lens were that it was QUITE a bit bigger than the previous lenses I've had. While the AF is silent, which is nice, it is not as fast as I expected it to be. Also, a focus limiter would have been great on this lens.

The IQ is hard for me to comment on since I've only had it for one day but it seems to produce good sharpness throughout the range.
