Manny Ramirez 500th Home Run
Posted By: palmor, 05-31-2008, 10:28 PM

Hi everyone,
My wife and I came down to DC to visit a friend and go to a Red Sox/Baltimore game. I know by watching on TV that there are a lot of Sox fans that go to the games but I had no idea just how many... it was like a home game. Anyway tonight Manny hit his 500th home run, I managed to capture the sequence of the hit. I hope they at least look decent since I'm on a laptop that is not even close to being calibrated, and these are not pp at all. I'll do that when I get home.

Great series, I could easily follow the ball. What lens were you using?

Very cool. The ball is easily visible and great timing. Where's the shot of the outfielder watching the ball going over the fence?

I don't have that shot but I do have one of the pitcher looking back to watch the ball.. almost as good

I knew you'd like them I have a few more game shots and hopefully a pano of the park. When I get back in a couple of days I'll post them if they came out decent. I have to say there was a TON of Sox fans, when "Lets go Red Sox" chants broke out it was so loud if you closed your eyes you would swear you were at Fenway.

Thanks! yup, it was the Sigma 17-70. I decided to only take one lens with me for this quick weekend trip and that was it.

hehe, that is exactly what I plan on doing plus putting our tickets from the game in the frame. I have no idea what they are going to looked like printed, I hope they are at least decent because I really want to do the 3 print series.

If anyone would actually want them to print out I'd be happy to post larger sizes.

Thanks
John

That's where the buffer filled up.
