I say color. There isn't enough contrast in the top third of the image to be b&w. I'd make the colors a wee bit more vivid. That's just me though.

I favor the color -- either of your two color examples.

Try cropping the b&w removing part of the upper portion that lacks the contrast. You still may need to increase the contrast just a tad, but not sure unless seen. For the color I prefer the first the second feels over done especially on the algae on the rocks in the lower part of the frame. Just my 2 cents though. Love the waterfall and sense of warmth that we are presently lacking.

Too much gets lost in the black and white. The colour, first one, is very natural.
