Amazing Viv 105 Macro
Posted By: Bramela, 06-01-2008, 07:25 PM

The Vivitar 105 macro (series 1) continues to amazeme for its sharpness and overall rendition , particularly in Macro.
Several I took this morning, a wet, rainy grey morning.

Great captures and excellent macros. The lens is certainly doing it's job for you.

Thanks a lot Dianne. I am a bit of a macro freak, being my preferred option. So this lens is really doing its job as you say.
Have posted a couple more

Great work Bruce. As you know I'm a big floral guy but the raindrops hanging off the leaf and the ones hanging off the (wood?) are the best IMHO. I'd like to get my hands on this lens but the prices they are asking for it are simply too high. I guess I'll have to "make do" with my Tamron 90.

Thanks all, greatly appreciate your comments.
Salty, I think you could do a lot worse than the Tamron 90mm. I have seen some great shots with that lens, maybe some were your shots. (that is wood actually, edge of the pagola over my back deck.)

Nice work Bruce. Glad to see you putting your new lens through it's paces. I really like the last two shots you posted.
