Willy Wag Tail

I haven't been able to get out much lately, but this little "Willy Wag Tail" was kind enough to pose for me.

great shots indeed, that 55-300 is such a good performer, your copy is really excellent.

I've heard the name before but can't remember seeing the bird, nice shots here CC.

thanks EM, the little guy was on board with the whole photo shoot idea giving me all manor of poses & angles, a true professional

thanks Stavri, I've been pretty happy with the results, and easy to carry and shoot hand held, the only down side is it sometimes hunts for focus and can be slow to return to focus once its lost, cheers

these little birds are often seen feeding on insects in the grass, they fan out and wag there tail feathers from side to side, soon as an insect appears they swoop on it usually only a few feet away, then land, wag their tail feathers again and then swoop on the next one and so on..
