Ospreys and Hawks

This little guy came to a tree next to our campsite to practice hunting

Thanks Dice. He was quite a character. Sat in the tree trying to spot prey in the ground. He would fly down and poke around a bit. Never saw him actually catch anything but he did try hard.

Thanks so much Jer. I managed to get the whole sequence of him flying in with the fish, landing, then changing his mind about sharing and flying off into another tree. Fun to watch.

That second image is one of a lifetime! A fish in it's claws, the head of the other bird in the nest; absolutely amazing!

Tell Otis that there is so much fish they don't go after the furry things. It was a great trip. Seemed a long time since we were able to hit the road again for a long stay.
