I was in New York for business recently and connected with Sylvia Elizabeth, a model whose work I've admired for ages, for an informal shoot on a cold and snowy morning in Manhattan.
I only took two cameras on my trip: a Fuji GA645i medium format film camera, and my trusty ol' K1000 (with an A 50mm 1.7 and a Voigtlander 20mm 3.5). It's the first time I've ever done a shoot using only film (I shot a range: Lomo 400, Lomo 800, Lomo Purplechrome 400, and Delta 3200). I burned eight rolls (!).
I'm breaking this post into two parts, this one and an NSFW one, to better share a set of photos I'm super proud of. I do a lot of shoots with a lot of really interesting (and beautiful) women, but there's something about Sylvia that I just find remarkable. She's really funny and cool to hang out with, but she has this great soulful presence that I find completely captivating.
Not sure if others will like them as well as I do, but without further ado...
