Red is....Red!
Lens: Bigma 50-500 Camera: K5IIs Photo Location: Woods of Otis-Texas ISO: 200 Shutter Speed: 1/200s Aperture: F6.7
Posted By: Rupert, 03-22-2015, 06:37 PM

I got my new K5IIs last Thursday and have been trying to get used to it...so far it is amazing! The reds are true and the focus is fast and accurate even in low light.
There are all shades of red with Cardinals....from Fire Engine red to Yellow/Orange......this very young one was..... very red!

This one was older and a little darker red.....

A little more orange in this guy..

Most of the females are more orange than red....

Doves are just plain easy!

Of course...none of them are as good as Handsome Squirrels!

Smile for the new camera!

Regards!

Congrats on the K-5IIs! I also just bought one last November and love it!
Remember, it's a cool tool and it's all in the operator of how you use your tool... judging by these beautiful shots,
the operator is doing a fine job with his new, cool, tool!

Top photos. The first one would complement Em's red roses.

Great series Rupert. Glad to see that Otis approves. That cardinal red is so hard to capture correctly but you sure didn't have any trouble.

Thank you Tom, Aussie, and Susan! I am really loving this camera, it is fantastic! Haven't shot so much in over a year! Even my Toy Cameras are squealing for me to pick them up and use them again!

On a more serious note....Otis wants to remind, once again, that cameras are for shooting handsome squirrels and not much else. A bird or two, some flowers, a few people, some nice landscapes...they're OK once in a while, but the main target should always be handsome squirrels!

Yep......Otis says life is all about handsome squirrels and naked girls....you can shoot and post all of those you desire!

Right Otis?....he gets that gleam in his eye when naked girls are mentioned!

Best Regards!

Don't forget! Save your squirrel shots for the coming Big Squirrel Frenzy! Prizes this time too!

Nice series Ruoert.

The new camera seems to work well with the Bigma.

Decent...but nowhere near Pro quality....go look at Norm's work for Pro quality! But Thanks anyhow, I appreciate it!

Wanna see a bird about to be in big trouble? This little male Cardinal is about to grab Otis' nuts and run! It isn't a good idea to fool with Otis' nuts!

Regards!
