Sunset Before the Storm
Lens: smc PENTAX-DA* 16-50mm F2.8 ED AL [IF] SDM Camera: K-3 Photo Location: Moreton, Queensland, Australia ISO: 400
Posted By: AussieTrev, 03-22-2015, 08:17 PM

Had a bit of show with the sunset. This was before the storm. We got very little, but lots more rain in the city. Unfortunately I haven't been able to do all I would with the photo, I did a bad thing and upgraded my main computer to the latest Beta OS X and it breaks any Aperture plug-ins, so basic Aperture editing only. I even knew that as I upgraded the laptop first and it broke on there and I said to myself, "Self, don't upgrade the desktop, leave it be" yeah right did it anyway.

Thanks Em. It might be the subtle changes with editing too now everything is broken.

Good show anyway despite the computer glitches. I hate upgrades, always something does not work properly.

I know what you mean. How long did it take for the K-3 RAW compatibly to come through.

Thanks for your kind words on the photo.

Thanks Bob. What this might make me do is get it right in camera more which will be a good learning experience.

Sorry to hear about your upgrade glitches. Just got my first Mac and am already having second thoughts as they don't seem to be helping photographers any. That is a lovely stormy sky.

Looks great to me, Trev, just the way it is. I've never tried a plug-in for Aperture - I'm probably not smart enough to figure 'em out anyway!

Thanks Susan. Two more beta updates to the new Photos App. I might try using it a bit to see how it goes.

Thanks Jer

I loved the Topaz and Nik plugins, used them a lot. It's a wait and see what the new Photos app has when released. When originally announced plugs was a feature, fingers crossed that I don't have to go the Adobe way.
