Looking for a hand out.
Lens: 18-250 Pentax Camera: K5IIs Photo Location: Saugus Ma. ISO: 200 Shutter Speed: 1/320s Aperture: F8
Posted By: charliezap, 03-23-2015, 07:42 PM

All the years that I've been feeding and taking pictures of birds I never thought of spending some time trying to get them to feed out of my hand. With peanuts in my left hand and the camera on a tripod to my right it didn't take long before I was rewarded. I'll try this again tomorrow.----charliezap

It will be a lot more enjoyable doing this when the weather is in the 80's instead of the 20's like now.--charliezap

All you need is some floating soap bubbles in the background, and a signature red cup hidden in the scenery

Nice experiment. I think if I tried that here, I just attract a bunch of rabid squirrels.

Very nice! I could never get the birds to do that here in California (with the exception of Scrub Blue Jays) but back in Michigan after snow has been on the ground for a few weeks, then maybe so. I don't intend to do the Michigan thing again.

I went out to the feeder this morning with a handful of seeds and within 10 minutes 4 landed and fed.--They are trusting me now.--charliezap

Great stuff Charlie.

I hope they don't poop on your hand the way they do on my cars.
