A Couple of Cold Ones
Lens: SMC Pentax M 400/5.6 Camera: Pentax K5 Photo Location: Waterloo ON ISO: 1600 Shutter Speed: 1/2000s Aperture: F9.5

It's been too cold to take pictures, at least too cold for me, the last few months so it was nice to get out for a change today. Most of the local birds have or soon will return and they were pretty active this morning. Here's a few shots of the more cooperative of them.

As you can see the water is still a little "hard" in the old pond as the geese scramble about looking for a nesting site.

The Red Winged Blackbird looks pretty angry as he tries to find a mate.

Thanks Kerrowdown.

It's a devious way to get people to take a look.

Hey Tom, that first one is a classic. The only thing about it that I don't like is that I didn't take it! Birds with a PURPOSE!!! Great shot.

One of the birds in the first shot seems to be getting hot tongue and cold shoulder.

Those are some really annoyed birds. Maybe they need a beer?

Thanks Jer.

This time of year they do have a PURPOSE - it's mating season.
