My best astro
Lens: tammy 17-50 Camera: k5ii Photo Location: palo duro canyon, tx ISO: 1250 Shutter Speed: Above 6s Aperture: F2.8

I shot this with my new tammy 17-50 in the morning of 03-29-15 at Palo Duro Canyon in the Texas Panhandle.

My hubby of almost 50 years and I used to go Palo Duro Canyon on dates (yes, people actually dated back then) and we loved the place. Have been back several times camping and it hasn't changed much. Thanks for the look of the night sky. It is beautiful.

Very nice indeed! I'm impressed how little red colour cast there is and the noise seems surprisingly low for the ISO (and I've no idea how you selected that ISO ).

Absolutely gorgeous image, that is one area that I have never explored, maybe it's time to give it a try.

It was 30secs, wide open iso 1250.

I learned a little trick on post processing astro pics- (take your blacks down to 40 and go from there)
