Country Cooking

This is the kitchen at Dudley farm. I liked all of the pans on the wall and the old cast iron stove.

I like it too, but particularly the post processing works very well here. Very nice Diane.

You've chosen PP that is absolutely perfect for your shot Diane. That one is a winner!

The pp is really nice and fits well with the subject of the photo. I wish I could see the bottom of the old stove, what the feet look like. But then I guess you'd have to go wider and maybe include some stuff you won't want to include? Nice image though. I like it.

Lovely soft tones and contours of the metal and timber really bring out the harmony and peace of the setting. You can almost hear the creak of a rocking chair and smell the smoke. Beautiful.

Thank you for looking and commenting Mel. I would have liked to include the feet also, but there was a half door that allowed you to view the kitchen. If I had stepped back it would have obstructed the view anyway. I'm going to mat and frame it for my kitchen.

Thank you for looking, I'm not quite sure what you mean by the Source Engine, can you enlighten me?

Thank you for your kind comment. This is one of my favorite places to visit. Each time, I see something I missed before.

Thank you Maxwell, I'm glad you like it. I like this filter a lot, it has so many possibilities on an image.

Great shot! I used to spend part of my summer with my grandparents in Arkansas during my pre-teen years, and Grannie used to cook on one of these (not as ornate, but same size). This picture brings back some fond memories. Thanks for sharing.

Nice work Diane. You're certainly giving the plugin a workout. Only way to learn.
