Something fishy this way comes
Posted By: Wombat, 06-05-2008, 06:57 AM

This monster was lying half out of the sand at a local beach and was the first photo I took with my new K100D Super, with just the kit 18-50mm lens. The second photo is the same beast mapped to an oval in Gimp. Unfortunately the out-of-focus part that came from the shallow DOF is more prominent than I'd like, but there wasn't much I could do about it. Is there a Gimp expert out there who could see a way around that?

I can almost smell it from here. I agree with Stu, I like the first image.
