Yesterday I spent a cold, damp and cloudy morning at my sailboat docked in Kemah Texas for a visit from a mechanic to look at the heat exchanger on the diesel engine (No Problems, whooo whooo!). The chilly depressing grayness of the morning reminded me of a very pleasant misty morning last November (about two weeks before my K10D showed up from Amazon) when I strolled around the marina adjacent to ours on the south shore of Clear Lake, an estuary to Galveston Bay. I grabbed some pictures that morning with my DS2 and DA 16-45; here are three of them.

Looking at these makes me wish even the minimal winter we have in SE Texas will move on soon so I can get out on the bay. Forcast for next week is high

Thanks everyone for the kind words. I love boats, harbors, waterfronts and the sea, so I'm biased . . . . . but I think it's hard to take a bad picture in a marina.

All great photos! I like the reflections in the water in #1, the sun coming through in #3.

Somehow, #2 has gotten more of my attention. I really do like this one best. It must be the mist in the background, but there's more and I can't put a finger on it. It is really calming.
