Arizonan Landscape
Posted By: Adam, 02-03-2007, 04:35 PM

I went out on a small shoot today to test out my new 28-70mm, among other lenses. These pics have seen little or no editing

SMC Pentax FA* 28-70mm F2.8 AL

SMC Pentax A* 200mm F2.8 ED

SMC Pentax FA 70-200mm F4-5.6
I dragged this lens along just to test it out, and I found it to be much better than expected.

C&C appreciated, and stay tuned for my review of the 28-70!

It is in Fountain Hills, Just East of Phoenix, Arizona. It used to be a sparsely populated area - now it's a srawling town.

This arizona forest is quite unique in its own right.

The colour and contrast from this lens is also outstanding. Thanks Adam.

I remembered similar shots taken from Fa* 24mm f2.0 before and the images were punchier from Fa*24 as I could have recalled it.

Looking forward to your review soon as there is still one on ebay for auction...

Thanks for the great comments

Roentarre, I posted the review here: https://www.pentaxforums.com/lensreviews/showproduct.php?product=219&cat=44

I may add a bit more later, but I think I've covered about everything. Enjoy!

Nice photos and a nice quality lens. Arizona looks to be an interesting place. If you get lightning there I'd be interested to see how that lens does lightning. I'd also be interested to compare that zoom with the Tamron 28-75mm f2.8 lens. Might be interesting. Also, that zoom seems to have similar colour rendition to the Minolta 28-75 f2.8G.

Great photos. That fountain is a bit disturbing though. That's a lot of water to be shooting up into the atmosphere in an arid climate.....
