Searching the Skies

One wonders why these turtles would be so fascinated with the sky. Perhaps they are keeping an eye for alien invaders, and for good reason; shortly before I photographed the turtles, I captured a few otherworldly invaders lurking about the place (note that I converted the pic to B&W, since the color version would have been too frightening for a family forum).

Those are neat shots of some great looking turtles......I don't blame them for being cautious, I hear aliens love turtle soup!

Regards!

I'm sure the turtles still try to locate CPE 3PH! They should check the forum!

I thought they were just ensuring an all over tan, neck wrinkles and all.

I sure wish you hadn't posted those alien pods; even in B&W they are terrifying. At least the turtles can stick there head into their shells but I am left putting a pillow over my face.

Thanks, Rupert. I was happy to catch these characters with their necks stretched and fully visible. I think you've identified exactly the source of their anxiety!

A definite possibility - perhaps the tanning both was closed that day.

Thanks, EM. As I said above, I was pleased to see them posing just for me. Also, I'm glad I had my trusty DA 55-300 along.

You're probably right, old buddy. Norbert's an engineer with a keen scientific mind - so when he talks, I listen! Especially when he's buying the beer.

Sorry, Susan. I know some forum members can be squeamish, so I tried to tone it down. I guess I didn't go far enough.

Hey buddy, it's not me with the PhD ... and I'll be back to Houston in September. I owe you a beer.
