I actually like this bizarre photo and screwy idea of a plastic pipe being tied to a stake

I will - I promise.

Seriously, in the past I took great satisfaction from examining (mostly) common place subjects with B&W photographs that emphasized shadow, shape and texture. In more recent years, I seemed to have drifted away from that sort of approach, and thus have become a bit listless about photography. While this picture may be a poor start (or - more accurately - restart) of my old habits, it is at least a start.
