Cool shot, my friend. There's simply nothing that stirs my blood like a big, round tachometer - especially one that shows a redline of 11,500 rpm.
I hear what you're saying about information overload; both my Boxster S and M4 have all sorts of stuff you can display in the dash or on a central screen, and some of it is pretty cool. However, when driving . . . . . . . with some vigor
. . . . . . . . . . . those big round tachometers are the guys I watch. However, and to my shame
, I must confess that I've grown attached to the head up display in the M4 - which shows speed and speed limit continuously and displays other info temporarily when you do such things as engage cruise control or change a sat radio station. When we got the car, I planned to simply turn it off, but I've become accustomed to it and . . . . . . I miss it when I drive our other two cars.
