Got the Blues?
Lens: Bigma 50-500 Camera: K5IIs Photo Location: Woods of Otis - Texas ISO: 2500 Shutter Speed: 1/200s Aperture: F7.1

I have a pair of Bluejays that are regulars here, they are skittish but sometimes pause long enough for a shot or two.

Regards!

Forgot......Squirrels demand posting too! It's in their contract.

Rupert I forgot to ask you, what type of gimbal head are you using on your telephoto setup?

Starvi.....All my Bigma shots are handheld and most are shot through my office windows. The Bigma has never seen a tripod, I simply don't need one. Once you master hand holding the Bigma, it is easier without a tripod. Sure, a tripod would give somewhat better results, but I sure would miss a lot of spontaneous shots.

One of my first Bigma shots...handheld.....I have gotten a little better at it with time.

Regards!

I was addressing your "window" setup, I remember you posted a picture of your DA* 300 if i'm not mistaken on a tripod mounted on a gimbal head.

Those first two shots especially are wicked sharp. Nicely done Rupert. Say hi to Otis for me. He is looking very handsome.

great shots here Rupert, we have Scrub Jays if that's the correct name, they are very noisy and get into everything.
