In my part of the world (dead centre of North America), there's a two or three week period when the daytime temperatures hover in the single digits centigrade: enough to melt the snow and ice but too cool for things to green up or bud. And, of course, the Winter's clutter is exposed. Out for stroll, I think this is photo the best of the bunch capturing that "waiting for the world to come alive" feeling. btw, I'm a first time poster here.

Great shot - crisp, sharp color, cool composition, and interesting subject. I remember those "waiting of summer" periods from all my years in various northern climbs.
