Dear friends,

I wanted to share some photos from a Cars Classic Revival races that have been up this past week-end at the Circuit de Barcelona Catalunya, and I hope you enjoy.

Pictures where taken with my K5, the Sigma 100-300mm F4 APO EX and the Sigma teleconverter 1.4x on it.

If you like those first ones I will add some more, as the where not only F1 cars racing from the 60's but also up to 1985, as well there where Group C Le Mans cars.







Shutter speed was 1/50 at the first picture, 1/100 the second one and 1/80 the third one. I like to play with "extreme" shutter speeds (I don't call those ones extremely low ones but it is true that cars where quite close and approaching very fast so you can understand that this shutter speeds where quite slow in that case).

Very nice images. The cars look so small, they almost look like 1/4 midgets.

Nice shots, I remember those from when I was stationed in Germany in the '60s. The cars of that era made a beautiful noise. Lucky you to get to see and hear them.

Thanks Dewman, yes they are smaller than nowadays

Thank you wtlwdwgn, yes the Ford DFV V8 sounds good on them (and the other engines of course), but 80's F1's and Group C cars sounded good too
And yes, we are lucky they come over once per year ^^
