The Highland Council won't be pleased, but I think that first shot is my favorite of all of yours...I'd definitely find a place on the wall for it.

You weren't far away for your Urquhart Castle shot.

Lovely view. It is doing the same thing in Montana yesterday and today, but the brown to white cycle is getting a little depressing for me.

Really... it reminds me of the high grain film days.

Ah summer in Scotland just as I remember it. Oh wait, it is just spring now right? Well, it reminds me of the summer I spent there.

Good to know you saw Scotland in all its normality, I wouldn't want you saying that you received special treatment.

I like your almost monocrom pictures, with only a touch of green. :-)

Aye, but it's not supposed to be that way here.

I'm headed across the pond that way late next month for about 2 weeks. Any chance of some snow then? I suspect most of it it will have turned to rain, but I'll be spending some time up north and in the Orkneys as well, so maybe I'll get lucky either up north or if I can gain some altitude.

Every chance, still snow on the high ground here at the moment.

Looks a lot like April around here. Or May last year. Nice photos.
I like to ski in the spring if conditions are favorable so I take whatever we get.

Well, strictly speaking based on latitude from your area (your shot had Loch Ness in it), I'll have a few nights up near Thurso/Scrabster and out in Kirkwall. Generically, though, my trip includes time on the Isle of Skye, around Ft. William, Inverness, an unaccounted day to be held somewhere, and then the actual touristy part of my trip in Edinburgh before heading back home.

All-in-all I'm looking forward to some rain, lots of hiking and lots of photography. I picked up a couple of OS maps, they just arrived actually, to help plan out some hiking and I have a few waterfalls I'm planning to visit and probably a viaduct (which also probably counts as touristy, but I mostly just want the scenery and to hopefully time a shot with a train going across).
