Nature Big Dipper and Water Wheel

I spent a couple nights up in Shasta County this weekend and had one that was suitable for astrophotography. I wanted to have the water wheel at the lodge's property backgrounded by the big dipper. The clouds posed a challenge, but ultimately were not so much of an issue. They were pretty thin and backlit by a half moon. All-in-all, a successful effort. I wish that the subject were a bit cleaner, but this gives me something to work on for next time.

I love this one. Muted and charming and a place I would love to spend some time at. I love the water wheel just like it is. Subtle but beautiful.
