A Turtle's Tale
Posted By: Eastern Shore Charlie, 06-08-2008, 03:33 AM

On a foggy morning in a land where tractors are bigger than silos a little turtle decided to cross the road. Halfway across the lane he was so scared that he stopped. Cars whizzing by almost crushed him a couple times. A friendly Pentax Photographer saw his plight and decide this time to intervene with fate. "Don't worry little fella I know a place to take you where you hopefully can grow old." Once the shy little turtle saw his new home his heart was filled with glee. He told the Pentax Photographer go ahead take a couple pictures and I will be pose for you. After a posing for these shots the turtle waved goodbye and disappeared in the mud and grass to live hopefully a long turtle life without cars.....

Well Charllie,

If this box turtle is talking to you.... I think you better check into the mental ward. Because turtles don't speak... in English anyway

Hopefully, you didn't make him plunge off the tree stump (although some action shots of that would make for striking images).

BTW, I have done that for turtles too. I hate to see them nailed by cars or trucks because they are having a tough time of it environmentally as it is. The added stress of having to negotiate roads and highways usually doesn't bode well for them.

The Deere shot is really well done.
