A few portraits
Posted By: Kim, 06-08-2008, 04:45 AM

Hello everyone!

A few pics from a short shoot with a friend a while back.

Please tell me what you think.

I think I will invite her again to the studio and try other styles than this rather low key stuff.

By the way I haven't calibrated my monitor for a month or so so the images might be a bit off.

Nice shots. Focus seems off in #1 and #3, but sharper in #4. Were you focusing manually? Good looking model who seems to play up to the camera well, especially in shots #1 and #4.

Very nice shots, especially 1 and 4. The low key really brings out her hair color and texture.

Thank you for commenting everyone!

To Maxwell: I used AF all the time but it's not 100% accurate especially when using the focus points away from the center. Also it is very much possible that I accidentally focused to her hair etc. I'm not a pro at this.

This was her first shoot ever by the way. She was a bit shy at first but a couple of ciders and some red wine cured it.

Well done - you did well to get her to relax.
Nice captures. Keep at it!

Very Nice

The first and last work for me on so many levels... thanks for reminding me I am alive!
I really do love the first and last as photos. She seems very comfortable in front of you and the camera. I would really try to shoot as much as possible if I found someone like her that the camera seems to love.

And again thank you for sharing...

I like them. She seems at home with camera and has some nice expressions. The BW works well.
